The Kids Defense Team
The Kid’s Defense Team is our Peer Educator Program which trains kids to become “Kid Advocates” by educating the peers in their schools and communities about the topics of sex trafficking, sex crimes and other social evils via public speaking, media, and the performing arts.

De'Nisha "Dinah" Beasley, Founder
​
Dinah has worked for over 17 years in the fields of health, social work, counseling and education. While doing street outreach in Los Angeles, Dinah witnessed how sex trafficking destroys lives, families and communities. Concerned and deeply disturbed, Dinah became committed to finding effective solutions to defeat this social evil.
Lauren Sowell, Survivor Leader
Lauren Sowell is survivor of child molestation, sex trafficking and rape. She was trafficked from the ages of 14-21 and now uses her testimony to save others from sex trafficking. She now works as a Human Trafficking Specialist and is a published author. Lauren also serves as a mentor and the survivor leader of the The Kid's Defense Team.
